Welcome to Dance Film SF
Founded in 2010, Dance Film SF is a nonprofit organization that brings dance to new audiences through the presentation and development of dance-based media. In addition to presenting the award-winning San Francisco Dance Film Festival, DFSF’s year-round activities include special screenings, panels, and filmmaking workshops. Through our touring and outreach programs, we send highlight reels to international screens and dance media into local schools. DFSF also produces original dance films through our Co-Laboratory program, matching top choreographers with professional filmmakers and creating the time, space, and budget for them to collaborate.
2021 Call for Submissions
Artists bring people together, no matter the art form. From live dance, to concerts, theater, and film screenings, people gather to experience the power and hope of artistic expression. Under the current crisis, these experiences are painfully disrupted. Yet, with your help, we at Dance Film SF are determined to weather the storm and continue to find unique ways to bring people together to celebrate the beauty and power of dance through film.
As we close the final weeks of 2020, please consider making a tax-deductible gift to help us plan for an exciting new season of dance + films. Everything we do is only possible thanks to generous dance film lovers like you! And for all those of you who supported us this year, a heartfelt thank you. DONATE TODAY!
